John P. Hall Writes.
St. Paul Minn., Jan. 13th. Dear Editor:—As you have had 11 degrees below zero, I thought it would be in line to let the Pink Press know how cold it has been up here. January 6th it was 27 degrees below zero, today, the 13th it is 15 below. We have something like one foot of snow. I was at St. Louis, Belleville and Posey, Ill., during the holidays. It was like summer down there, the flowers were in bloom up to Dec. 31st. My father was buried at Posey, Ill., the first day of January. He was a resident of Fairfield for 40 odd years; he was 89 years, three months and five days old. He was a good friend of C. C. Boggs and regretted his death very much. My wife and son and family live here and are doing well and would welcome any of old Wayne counties people to call in passing through this busy city. It is going to be the most busy city in the world for some time. Call at 2040 St. Anthony Ave. Phone Midway 3184. The girls all live in Belleville, Ill., and doing well. Your friend, JOHN P. HALL Wayne County Illinois Press Pink Press Letter February 7, 1924 Submitted by Betty Beeson
